Look for the little blue boxes with the white anchor on top. 

 

Many places around Hood River County, including the Library Bookmobile, Wy’east and Hood River Middle Schools, Hood River Valley High School, and Mid-Columbia Center for Living have small dark blue boxes that are free for anyone to pick up.  If someone is struggling with depression or feelings of loneliness, these little boxes can help.  Inside are gifts to support, inspire, and offer hope to anyone who opens the box.  Included are a local resource list, some activities you can do with the items in the box, and a QR code to a very short 4 question survey that we can use to better understand the people who find and use the boxes.

 

If you pick up a box but find it is not helpful for you, you can either leave it where someone else can find it or you can give it to someone else in need.  Anchor Boxes are designed to offer hope to those who need it.
